My Weight Loss Journey Has Begun........
We all have said this day I will start my diet. That day comes and a new date is set. That one also comes and you have yet again set a new date. Now you're just stuck in the setting a date and then saying the next day routine. Well my date to start was January 1st but I actually didn't get started till January 5th.
I saw the gym I attend post about a 15 Day Challenge. You complete 12 workouts in 15 days and you earn one of their bags. I decided to set that as my small goal. You know they say set smaller goals to reach the bigger one.....
I didn't complete that goal but I came prettydamn dang close to it. I started five days after most of the ladies and for me to get 11 classes in (I lost one class due to a late cancelation) was awesome to me. I am sure the guy who did bootcamp years ago would tell you that, that says a lot for me. Now on to the next challenge.
January 19th we started the 28 Day Challenge. For the next four weeks we are busting our butts to lose weight and eat healthier. We weighed in and they took pictures of us, so that when it is done, we can see how far we have come. And for the person who loses the most weight, they will win some major cash. Crossing my fingers and praying it is me. Haha. No really I hope it is me. But along with this challenge, we are having to add smaller ones in.
Last week it was the six glasses of water a day for seven days. That was a breeze till I started getting up in the middle of the night having to run to the bathroom like a pregnant woman! I was having dreams of going to the bathroom from drinking so much water. I will say this, it was an awesome cleanse from all the drinks and coffee I was drinking. I am still going to keep drinking water, just not as much as I was. I 💖 water! Oh and on January 19th, I weighed 199lbs 😞
January 26th we weighed in and got ready for another challenge. I failed to mention that for every lb you gain, you owe a $1. So in my workout pants I have a pocket with a zipper in the back. I knew I gained some weight so I took $3 in ready to pay for my WATER WEIGHT. Moment of truth.....I am now at 197lbs! I LOST 2 lbs!!!!!! It took all I could do, not to start crying. I know I didn't gain this weight over night, so I will not lose it in a few workouts. But when I felt like stopping or giving up, I think about those 2 lbs gone and if I keep doing what I am doing, more will follow! This has really amped me up for this weeks workouts and challenge. Oh and that challenge is, NO FRIED FOODS. I thought oh that will be easy.....till someone eats chili cheese fries in front of you and that is your favorite food. But hey, I lost 2 lbs and those oh so delicious chili cheese fries will not help my big goal.
Every Thursday are our weigh in's. Praying next Thursday I will have lost more.
